On Wednesday 12th September 2018, Women's Studies Center of the Faculty of Education at the Islamic University held a workshop entitled: "Research Priorities in Women's Issues" at the Center for Women's Studies at Al-Luhaidan Hall, by coordination with Develop Business and Economic Research Center Capacity at Palestinian Higher Education Institution "BERC" Project in the presence of Dr. Mohammed Abu Shuqair, Dean of the Faculty of Education, The director of the Women's Project, BERC project manager Dr. Wael Al Daya, representatives of the Ministry of Women's Affairs, the Ministry of Culture and the Faculty of Education at Al-Azhar University and Al-Aqsa University.
Professor Alian Al-Hawli, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Education, welcomed the attendees and referred to the centers of the Faculty of Special Education, especially the Center for Women's Studies and its role in enhancing the status of women in society.
Dr. Khitam Al-Sahar, Director of the Center for Women's Studies, spoke about the Center for Women's Studies and explained its main objectives and activities.
Dr. Al Daya- BERC project manager and the Head of Business Research unit introduced his presentation about the fifth sustainable goal of the United Nations "Gender Equality" and presented several important statistics for women in several areas, including: public life, education, health and labor force.
