As a part of Develop Business and Economic Research Centers Capacity at Palestinian Higher Education Institutions "BERC", Administrative and Economic Research Center at Al-Quds Open University recently organized by coordination with the Business and Economic Research Center at The Islamic University of Gaza workshop for sharing experiences of faculty members who have received training courses at Huddersfield University in United Kingdome.
The workshop was opened by Dr. Yousef Abu Fara, Dean of the Faculty of Administrative and Economic Sciences, on behalf of Prof. Younis Amr, President of the Al Quds Open University, and mentioned in his speech the support and keen attention given by the University Presidency to this center, pointing to the importance of this center and its leading role in the implementation of research of a developmental nature to benefit the university and society with its diverse institutions.
Dr. Wael Al Daya- BERC Project Manager at IUG welcomed the participants.
Dr. Abdul-Rahman Al-Suwaidi- QOU added in his speech the importance of scientific research, which is the main element in the march of leading universities, mentioning that this center will undertake joint research activities with other higher education institutions, government institutions and private sector institutions. Supports the Center's research and scientific progress. He reviewed the stages of development of the project from its inception to date, adding that the research center was officially opened and the purchase of new software for this center serves researchers in conducting administrative, economic, financial, accounting, marketing and other research.
Dr. Shaher Obaid, Director of the Center for Administrative and Economic Research, urged faculty members to carry out original and innovative researches that contribute to the enrichment of specialized knowledge to serve the university and society. He also show the need to cooperate with scientific and research institutions and institutions in Palestine and abroad.New research groups were added to the previous groups to conduct joint research to promote teamwork and team spirit in the Faculty of Administrative and Economic Sciences.
QOU team who attend Qualitative Research training week conducted last November 2018 at University of Huddersfield- United Kingdome presented their gained experiences through the training week.
At the end of the workshop, the discussion was opened and there was a clear interaction with the subjects. The obstacles faced by the researchers were discussed. This type of research is valuable in solving field problems and developing methods. Work and productivity in applied fields such as education, health, agriculture, industry, and others.
