Supported by Erasmus+, BERC Second Management Meeting was Held at IUG

Supported by ERASMUS+ programme  (Key Action2 – Capacity building for Higher education-CBHE), Islamic University of Gaza, in cooperation with local Palestinian universities, conducted the second management meeting of Developing Business and Economic Research Centers Capacity at Palestinian Higher Education Institutions (BERC), on Wednesday, June 29, 2016.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Wael Al Daya - Director of Business Research Unit at the Faculty of Commerce manager, project manager, Eng.  Amani Maqadmah - Academic Partnerships Coordinator at the Islamic University, Mss. Hadeel Shaheen - Project Coordinator, and representatives from our partner universities - Al-Azhar University and University College of Applied Sciences  participated in the meeting. Also from West Bank through Skype Technology Prof. Dr. Grace Khoury - Dean of the Faculty of Commerce at the University of Birzeit , Mr. Omar Omran - Deputy of the Dean of the Faculty of Commerce at the University of Birzeit and representatives from Al-Quds open University and the University of L'Aquila, Italy.

 The audience has presented three main themes, the first theme focused on the activities that have been completed since the beginning of the project and activities that are expected to be completed in the future, also addressed the comparison between the actual activities that have been completed and planned activities, the latter was about the tender for the purchase of equipment for the project.

Both Dr. Wael Al Daya and Eng. Amani Maqadmah have presented the activities that have been completed since the beginning of the project life and activities planned for the future, including statistical analysis of a study identifying the needs of the Palestinian universities partner in the project, and also tender for the purchase of the project, which is supposed to be prepare through next month.

The meeting included an open discussion between the partners, the third management meeting is expected to be next month.
